About us

Hi, I’m Sarah Bittner and the founder and owner/manager of Creative Little People. With me in the photo to the right is my son, Jake, born October 2009.

The business came about as a consequence of being made redundant from my previous employment as a Chartered Accountant, but the ‘silver lining’ in this instance was the opportunity to realize a long-held dream and start my own business with children very much at it’s heart – and so Creative Little People was born in October 2010.

For the initial two years I ran the business in the form of operating activity sessions for young children at different venues around the Derbyshire and Staffordshire area. Arts and crafts always featured as the predominant theme but also music, games and stories were included by way of ensuring a good mix of activities that would keep everyone – children and accompanying grown-ups alike – interested, motivated and coming back for more each week.

Hence our motto – “Create Together, Laugh Together, Play Together”!

I’m absolutely passionate about the development of children and this has certainly been recognized by many of the carers whose children I have been fortunate to create, laugh and play since starting my business. Some of their kind comments are included within the Past Session Testimonials within the Testimonials page of this website.

Indeed it was at the recommendation of one of my clients, who considered I was ideally suited to working with children in a primary school environment, that some time ago I took up a volunteer classroom assistant role at a local primary school. That, in turn, became the catalyst to my seeking ‘Qualified Teacher Status’ and I am now in the process of achieving that goal.

However, in doing so, whilst I no longer operate weekly activity sessions, I have developed the business in order to concentrate solely on children’s parties and events. That side of Creative Little People has proved both extremely rewarding and successful, as can be determined from the Party Testimonials section also to be found on the Testimonials page.

I possess boundless enthusiasm, limitless energy, endless imagination and I simply adore children – the perfect criteria for ensuring that your ‘Little Person’s’ party will be remembered for a long time afterwards and for all the right reasons!
