As many of you will know, taking photographs of moving children (and adults for that matter) is not the easiest thing to do!…so this is just a small selection of the many photos I and others have tried to take!

 

T’s 4th Birthday Party – with a “Princess & Knight” theme” including princesses’ hats & kings’ crowns, princess & knight figures and sponge painted castles! With free play of equipment including tunnels, hurdles, soft play etc and parachute games, so lots and lots of fun!

Home-Start South Derbyshire Charity – October Half Term Event – Halloween – we made made flying paper fireworks and gloopy glue and powder paint paintings of fireworks in the sky!
Esme’s 3rd Birthday Party – with a “Peppa Pig at the Seaside” theme! Esme had such a long wish list it was fabulous! Including magnet fishing, turtles, Peppa Pig, seaside, parachute, soft play and most importantly Baa Baa Black Sheep and feet painting!
The Smith Family’s Twins’ 4th Birthday & Youngest 2nd Birthday Party! – with a “Jungle Animals” theme where we made tissue paper crocodiles, pasta snakes and painted monkeys! With an obstacle course, free play of equipment including tunnels, hurdles, soft play etc and parachute games, so lots and lots of fun!
Alice’s 5th Birthday Party! (2nd Creative Little People party for Alice!) – with a “Rock Chick” theme with home-made shakers, drums and guitars! With free play of equipment including tunnels, hurdles, soft play etc so lots of fun!
Freddie’s Daddy’s 40th – with an “Under the Sea” theme and lots of fun with the soft play, tunnels and balloon tennis!
Richard’s 4th Birthday Party – with an “Under the Sea” theme and lots of fun with the parachute, magnet fishing and an obstacle course!
Bronwen’s 4th Birthday Party – with an “Under the Sea” theme and lots of fun with the parachute and an obstacle course!

Prior to developing the business in order to concentrate solely on parties and events, for a period of 2 years Creative Little People operated weekly, theme-based art and craft sessions for young children. The following photographs illustrate the wide range of activities that featured, some of which are now incorporated within our parties and events programmes.
Classic Games – included making our own snap/memory game, making our own version of quoits and then having lots of fun with the soft play, tunnels etc!
Halloween – included making a tracing paper ghost, doing a great big spooky goup painting, playing with slime and having fun with water play!
Triangles – included practising our scissor skills, drawing and sticking and then print painting with triangular wooden blocks, triangle cookie cutters and with our straw triangles that we made, then lots of fun with the parachute and ping pong balls!
Animal Patterns – included doing a colourful sticky picture with animal print tissue paper and then doing a sponge painting of a giraffe pattern and tiger stripes and then lots of fun with water play!
Puppet Theatre – included making finger puppets and a theatre and doing a group painting of a theatre screen scene and then having lots of noisy musical fun!
Bedrooms – included making a sticky picture of a bedroom complete with opening door and windows and then making and painting a bed and then lots of fun with the parachute and knitted balls!
Potato Play – included making a newspaper Mr Potato Head and doing a potato print painting and then lots of fun with ballon volleyball!
City Sky Line – included making a sticky picture of lots of buildings and then a glorious group painting and then to finish the firm favourite fish and water play!
Down in the Jungle – included making a tissue paper crocodile, a 3D painted monkey and lots of fun with the parachute!
Sunflowers – included making a paper plate sunflower, finger painting and playing with the musical instruments!
Seaside – included making a cotton wool ice cream and a textured picture of a sandy sandcastle and having lots of fun with the sand play!
Grass – included making a grass head plant pot by decorating a cup and planting grass seeds and then making our own paint brush that we used to paint a green grass effect, then lots of fun with the parachute and ping pong balls!

Aeroplanes – included making paper planes and a big box plane and having competitions of how far our paper planes flew!
Olympics 2012 – included making a 2-person racing game and a golden glitter gloopy glue Olympics 2012 medal and then taking part in our own uncompetitive Olympic games!
Elephants – included making a tissue paper Elmer and a 3D elephant sponge painted grey and then water play!

Circles – included milk-bottle top print painting and making and playing with our balloon bats!

Scarecrows – included making a hay & felt picture of a scarecrow and making our own group life-size scarecrow with lots of straw!
Mary Poppins – included making a paper kite, chalk drawings and musical noisy fun with the instruments!
Father’s Day – included making origami boxes for daddy’s, grandad’s and grandpa’s “man drawer” and clay coasters!
World Environment Day – Wind Power – included making a windmill and doing blow paintings with straws and syringes and having lots of fun with the parachute!

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – included making a crown fit for a Queen/King and a Union Jack flag to equip us for any parties we might be attending!

Hats – included decorating two cheerful chappies’ hats with felt and felt tips, then making and painting a cone hat and then having lots of water fun with shower hats and swimming caps!
Islands – a great excuse for sand play! Included making making a little 3D island complete with crepe paper palm tree and gloopy glue sand pictures!
Trees – included doing a sticky picture of a tree and then as a group making a tree of newspaper and painting it and then parachute play with some felt leaves! The first ever session my little boy Jake came to!
Butterflies – included making a butterfly mobile and doing a folded paper finger painting of a butterfly!
Cats & Dogs – included making a painted cat mask and a moulting shredded paper dog!
Fruit & Vegetables – included painting with blueberries, broccoli and other messy fruit and vegetables and paint printing with potatoes, sweet corn and cabbage leaves!
Easter – included making salt dough together and making inedible Easter treats and having water play!
Junk Modelling – included making fabulous creations with lots of boxes, yoghurt pots, string, masking tape, straws, bottle tops etc etc and then painting them! They were all amazing as you will see from the photos!
Hickory Dickory Dock – included making a paper plate clock and a cardboard mouse that we painted brown and then lots of fun with the musical instruments!
Mother’s Day – included making book marks and gloopy glue tissue flower cards for mummies, grannies, grandmas, nannas, nanas, moo moos, omis etc etc!
Birds – included making a nest out of a milk bottle top and a bird out of a polystyrene egg, then painting with feathers and then parachute play rumbling lots of polystyrene eggs up in to the air!
I must apologise, unfortunately I managed to delete loads of photos in error this week and I have been unable to recover them. I truly am sorry.
Blue – included doing a picture using lots of different blue pens, chalks, crayons and paper, then a blue painting and then lots of fun with the soft play!
Clothing – included making a cardboard clothes doll, doing a stencil painting of the same doll and then washing mini sponge clothes in bubbly water!
Dinosaurs – included doing a picture of George’s Dinosaur from Peppa Pig and then playing with play dough making up our very own dinosaurs!
Squares & Rectangles – included doing a sticky picture and painting and then enjoying lots of noisy fun with the musical instruments!
The Gruffalo (in honour of National Storytelling Week) – included making an owl hand puppet with lots of glue and shredded paper, doing a finger painting of the Gruffalo and then telling the wonderful story together with scripts, puppets and a nut!
Heads (Part 2 of 2) – included making ears and noses for our balloon heads and painting them and then having lots of fun with the parachute!

Heads (Part 1 of 2) – included doing a chalk drawing of a head and then making lots of mess with paper maiche and then lots of fun with balloon tennis!

Rowing Boats – included making and decorating our own paper boat and then as a group making a great big box boat!
Hands & Feet – included doing a finger painting of animals’ foot prints, then doing a group hand & feet painting on a massive piece of paper and then to finish off water play to have a go at washing our hands!!
Christmas – including making a Christmas Tree with a fir cone (thanks to a very kind Melbourne Mum who donated a massive bag of them to all of us!!) making wrapping paper by sponge painting on hand-made stencils and decorating them with finger painting and in addition to all that messy fun… lots of fun with the parachute!
Weather – included ice cube painting, making a textured gluey picture, blowing bubbles and having great fun with water play!
Musical Mayhem – in summary… “very noisy”! included making our own drum and rattle and playing with home-made and toy musical instruments!
Egypt – included making a pyramid, sponge painting it with sandy paint, doing chalk drawings of hieroglyphics and having great fun with sand play!
Children in Need – included making a Pudsey eye bandage and doing a finger painting of him!… with £1 of every £4 going to the fabulous charity so raising between us £67!
Bronwen’s 4th Birthday Party – with an “Under the Sea” theme and lots of fun with the parachute and an obstacle course!
Sky at Night – included making a “Stargazer” with glow-in-the-dark stickers and glitter glue and doing a group painting of rocket ships and planets!
Bonfire Night – included making a paper firework and doing a powder paint painting of fireworks in the sky!
Halloween – included making a bat with a yoghurt pot and a black bag and making and painting a pumpkin mask!
Robots – included making a “take-away robot” and making a cardboard box robot as a group!
Shapes – included making an ancient Chinese Tangram puzzle, painting with wooden blocks, milk bottle tops and plastic cookie cutters and having fun with soft play!
Pasta Play – included making pasta and glue pictures, making colourful snakes and messing about in pasta!

Autumn – included making pictures with leaves, leaf painting and throwing leaves in the parachute!
Pirates – included making a parrot, an eye patch, a hat and a paper boat as well as having water play with golden treasure!
This is one of the pirates at home after a busy session in Tutbury!
Monsters – included chalk drawings and making monsters with play dough!
Mirrors – included finger painting a butterfly and decorating a mirror with string and glitter glue!
Trains – included making and painting a cardboard box train as a group and playing train related games!
This amazing train was made by brothers Richard and Henry at home with their friends following the “Trains” session at Aston on Trent
Eyes – included making 3D glasses, an animal eye puzzle and playing lots of blindfold games!
Gardening – included making pebble bugs, having messy play with compost and planting pansy seeds in our home-made plant pots! And keeping with the theme playing lots of bean bag games too!

Bridges & Tunnels – included making and painting a “take-away bridge with tunnel” and setting up obstacle courses with sheets, boxes, tables and soft play equipment!
Magnets – included making “Magnet Monsters”, fishing with magnets and making magnet mazes!

Seaside – included making “sandcastles to take-away” and having messy play with sand!
Melbourne Fete & Carnival July 2011 – The event’s theme “As Seen on Screen” – Creative Little People’s theme “Mary Poppins” that included chalk pavement drawings and making and flying kites!
Rainbows – included making a picture with crepe paper, playing a colour game, playing with musical instruments & a parachute!
Bubbles – included printing with painted bubble wrap and water play with sponges, whisks and lots of bubbles!!
Wimbledon – included playing tennis with balloons and tennis rackets made with paper plates and newspapers and painting with bouncing tennis balls!
Father’s Day – included making colourful pen pots and clay coasters for daddy’s, grandad’s and grandpa’s desks!
Horse Racing (Royal Ascot) – included making a 3D horse with black bags and newspaper, having horse races and then having fun with our own horse jumping course!
Symmetry – included playing with raspberry & cranberry tea and lemon & ginger tea play dough and a parachute!
Goldilocks and the Three Bears – including making a Goldilocks doll out of a wooden clothes peg, doing a sponge painting of three bears and then listening to the story with props!
Camping – included doing a group painting and messing around with sheets and a tarpaulin!
Boats – included making boats out of milk cartons and very wet water play!
Golf – included making golf clubs out of rolled up newspaper and playing crazy golf!
Easter – included making salt dough and making inedible Easter treats!
Road Maps – included making milk carton houses and roads with masking tape!
Dots – included making lentil and glue pictures and then finger painting (with a few toes too!)
Mother’s Day – included making book marks and picture frames (with glitter glue!) for mummies, grannies, grandmas, nannas, nanas, moo moos, omis etc etc!
Creative Little People’s First Birthday Party! – with an “Under the Sea” theme finishing with “Hokey Cokey” (which explains the last piccie!)
Spring – included dissecting a real daffodil and making one with paper!
Holi (Hindu Festival of Colour) – included powder paint pictures, coloured water play and due to very popular demand the fish from “Under the Sea” week!!
Creepy Crawlies – included making pasta worms and black bag spiders and touching real garden worms!
Fruit & Vegetables – included painting with some blended cooked fruit and vegetables and paint printing with potatoes, sweet corn and cabbage leaves!
Stained Glass Windows – included gluing acetate and projecting small coloured images!
Snow & Ice – included making snowmen and ice cube painting!
Farmyard Animals – included raspberry & cranberry tea, coffee & vanilla play dough!
Chinese New Year – included dragon dancing and cotton wool pictures!
Under the Sea – included making sea creatures and fishing!
Fire
Three Little Pigs – included finger puppets, shredded paper houses and a story!
Skittles – not only a great rattle but a great game too!
